Rwanda, situated among the less developed nations in Africa, grapples with a severe challenge – childhood malnutrition. Shocking statistics reveal that 42% of children in the country suffer from malnutrition, with an additional 13% facing stunted growth. In response to this pressing crisis, we have embarked on a mission to combat malnutrition and uplift the health and future prospects of these vulnerable children. Our project focuses on providing nourishing food and milk to the children of widows and single mothers within the Tabita New Life group.
Our efforts extend across the four churches that form the core of our outreach: Nyarutarama, Murama, Miyove, and Kayonza. Nyarutarama to Miyove are located in the northern province of Gicumbi District, while Kayonza resides in the eastern province of Kayonza District. Within this network, a total of 600 children are in dire need of nutritional support. The cornerstone of our project is a commitment to providing healthful meals and milk to these children. Recognizing that proper nutrition is essential for their growth and development, we allocate a monthly budget of $2,500 to address this crucial need. This equates to an annual project cost of $30,000.
We invite you to join hands with us in this critical endeavor. Your support, whether through financial contributions or raising awareness, will have a direct impact on the health and future of these children. Let's collaborate to ensure that no child in Rwanda falls victim to malnutrition, enabling them to grow into strong, healthy individuals who can contribute positively to their communities and nation. Together, we can build a healthier, brighter future for these children.
